ABOUT
The Rukkus Room
Purchased in 2004 by Grammy and Emmy award-winning Jamie Tate, The Rukkus Room is a recording studio in Nashville, TN. The studio was designed in 1981 by Gene Lawson of Lawson Microphones and is one of the few remaining purpose-built Nashville recording studios. Spanning a combined 8000 square feet, each studio is a completely separate building, which allows for total isolation.
Shortly after opening, Jack Ingram recorded his #1 hit single, "Wherever You Are", as well as several follow up singles that charted in the top five. Other big acts followed, such as Thomas Rhett, Brooks and Dunn, Taylor Swift, Justin Moore, and Alan Jackson, all of which earned multiple platinum sales awards and numerous #1 singles.
